When I was an artist growing up, I used to underestimate what current local entrepreneurs and street vendors and traders can bring to our local shopping emergency needs. One such item is a simple "Plastic Tap". This commodity became big business for "Nyaope-Smoking-Addicts" in the townships. They thrived on stealing it. (Our beloved metal iron taps and municipality water meters) were crime gold mines.

• We have very few hardware stores in the South & probably Soweto in particular. Twice I had my water meter and taps ripped-off and stolen by local criminals. 
• Soweto and the South became victims of this crimes similar to cable theft until the City of Joburg replaced them with plastic meter readings.
• My problem became very serious when, I could not find a plastic tap for my plumbing required outside the property.

Wow. This discovery earned these traders my respect to pay homage and tribute to their amazing spirit of hustling. And The B.T.G WhatsApp Group was born.
